Privacy Policy

YUMYUMPO ("we", "us") operates a restaurant discovery platform and premium hospitality website hosting service. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using YUMYUMPO you agree to the terms here.

1. What we collect

We collect only what we need to run the platform.

From everyone who visits

• Anonymous usage analytics — pages viewed, search queries, scroll depth, device type, approximate location based on IP region
• A session identifier stored in your browser to prevent double-counting
• If you ask Fred (our AI) something, we log the query text and which restaurants matched — used to improve recommendations

From restaurant applicants

• Restaurant details (name, cuisine, location, description)
• Your contact details (name, email, phone if provided)
• Your current website URL (if you have one)

From restaurant owners with accounts

• Email + password (password is hashed by Supabase; we never see it)
• Restaurant content you upload — photos, menus, descriptions, hours

2. How we use it

• To show you the right restaurant recommendations
• To respond to your application and onboard you if approved
• To send restaurant owners performance reports for their own listings
• To improve search, AI accuracy, and the platform itself
• To prevent abuse and meet legal obligations

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We don't show third-party advertising. We don't share applicant or analytics data with restaurants other than their own.

3. Cookies & storage

We use a small amount of browser localStorage to remember your favourites, hide content you've already seen, and keep your session alive when you're signed in. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies are used.

4. Where your data lives

Data is stored with our processor Supabase (PostgreSQL + secure auth). When you ask Fred a question, the query may be sent to Anthropic (Claude API) to generate a natural-language response — Anthropic does not train on YUMYUMPO data per its API terms.

5. Your rights

You can email us any time to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that's wrong
• Delete your account and associated data
• Withdraw your application
• Opt out of platform analytics (your browser's "Do Not Track" signal is honoured)

6. Data retention

Analytics events are aggregated daily and individual rows older than 12 months are deleted. Applications that are rejected or unresponsive for 6 months are anonymised. Approved restaurant accounts and their content are retained as long as the account is active.

7. Children

YUMYUMPO is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

8. Changes

If we make material changes we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and notify account holders by email. Continued use of YUMYUMPO after a change means you accept it.
